Reasons for Your Child to Attend WCCA
- High Christian Morals and Values: Not just "Christians" in name only, our faculty and staff are faithful New Testament Christians. Add to that, they instill in the hearts of our children the Word of God every day--in example, daily Bible study, and regular memory work.
- Strong Academics: Our curriculum is based on accelerated standards for achievement. Our students, on average, are mastering learning standards at or above their grade level.
- Discipline: "Sit up, pay attention, participate, refrain from disruption, and show respect to your classmates and adults" is what our children are taught. Those who persist in unacceptable behavior are warned, and if the behavior continues, they will be removed, so as to provide a healthy learning environment for others.
- Fun and Excitement: Not all learning takes place in the classroom. We have regular field trips. THere are monthly family events and different classroom projects that incorporate learning and excitement. Our children participate in enrichment classes pertaining to art, music, Spanish, technology, physical education, and library time.
- Affordability: WCCA is not your typical private school. We offer a first class education at second class prices.
- Smaller Class Sizes: Our smaller class sizes allow our students to have plenty of one-on-one interaction with their teacher which creates for real comfortability. K-5th grade have a ratio of 16 - 1. A half day parapro works in each classroom during academic days.
- More Control: Our school is a controlled environment. We don't have the distractions of the public school system. Our children are closely supervised. We maintain strict discipline and have a no nonsense approach to learning. With our admission requirements, constant supervision, secured and locked doors, communication tools in each room, and sound internal policies assure the safety and well-being of each student.
- Early Admission: Under Georgia law, a child must be five years of age by September 1st in order to start public kindergarten. We offer early entrance for Kindergarten students who miss the traditional cutoff. We will accept a student with a birthday up to October 1st with positive teacher recommendations and a satisfactory rating on a kindergarten readiness exam administered by WCCA.
- Innovative Teaching: WCCA offers multi-age classroom settings. This allows us to gear instruction toward individual student needs, show a respect for differences, have limited grad retention, assessment that reflects instruction, cross-age learning, modeling and teaching, greater focus on success, improved self-esteem, flexible groupings and a development of skills to help each child become lifelong learners.
- Our Objectives: 1) To achieve "Academic Excellence"--Our courses stimulate and expand the mind and use the latest brain development research. 2) To encourage "Social Development"--Knowing how to relate to one another, serve one another, and be hospitable to one another is essential to the Christian's mission. 3) To promote "Physical Discipline"--Strength, health, and conditioning are all important to God who created the body to serve Him. 4) To "Grow Spiritually"--The "fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom."
- Our Mission: WCCA exists to equip students with the knowledge, skills, values, and ethics to excel in life and to prepare the youth of today to lead tomorrow by exemplifying the light of Jesus in their lives.
